Teacher’s Duties And Responsibilities

Today morning Faishal Mulla, my student of S.S.Agraval college send me greeting on Gurupurnima, I found many poster of BABAS and GURUS on roadside hoardings and I have just watch the episode of CHANAKYA on “SHIKSHAK KABHI SAMANYA NAHI HOTA” and it force me to think on the impotence of the teacher in our life, the role of the teacher in upliftment of our society and responsibility of the teacher inside the classroom and outside the class room. In the teaching process, first of all, the teacher should perform not only as educator but also as a model. He/She should be a guiding model of the students. He/She should act ethically and morally upright according to his profession because the students especially kids usually follow what the teachers wear, what the teachers said and do in the class and outside. The teacher should also motivate how to love studying these different subjects and how to apply these principles in our real life. Teachers are the people who educate the youth of society who in turn become the leaders of the next generation. Manu smrity says ‘Teacher is the image of Brahma’, in the word of H.G. Wells ‘The teacher is the real maker of history, where Sir John Adams says ‘The teacher is the maker of man’. So as a being a teacher when I ask some questions to myself, I found that the modern system of education resulted in lifeless thoughts and thoughtless life. Do we infuse in them any virtues such as tolerance, forgiveness, compassion that will help them to live in society with co-operation? Even after completing the education the student is unable to face the life or feel sorrows and suffering of the world. Life remains either problem or puzzle for him/her. We, teachers claim to be an expert in the science of education, but infect we cannot impart such education that would make a student a better member of the society or a part of Global family. These things are hard to accept but easy to realized. The reason behind it is we all are live in money forcing society and with money desired mind we producing money oriented machines. We are contributing in fulfillment of the dream of Lord Macaulays (see what is the dream of Lord Macaulays) http://dhrudipthakkar.blogspot.in/2010/11/lord-macaulays-speech-in-british.html
Also today is the jackpot day for so called BABAS and GURUS. Even their ultimate goal is also money. They expand their empire by selling some physiological tricks and open their shopping mall or so called Ashrams in different countries. Now a day it is very difficult to find out that religion is for men or men is for religion? Just like cattle master mark some sign on his/her cattle so that in the group of cattle he/she easily identify his/her cattle, same way the BABAS and GURUS also give them malas, tikas and label of religion so that they can easily identify their stupid one in the group of many human being. Remember that religion is for the men but men is not for religion in the same way money is for the men but men is not for the money.

http://dhrudipthakkar.blogspot.in/2010/11/lord-macaulays-speech-in-british.htmlAt present our ultimate goal is money and instrument is education or religion instead of our goal should be education or religion and our instrument should be money. Again I said that it is hard to accept but easy to realized.

The Real Robbers

During a robbery in Guangzhou, China, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: "Don't move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you."

Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called "Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.

When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: "Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!"

This is called "Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!

When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): "Big brother, let's count how much we got."

The older robber rebutted and said: "You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!"

This is called "Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!

After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: "Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.

This is called "Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!

The supervisor says: "It will be good if there is a robbery every month."

This is called "Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.

The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: "We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!"

This is called "Knowledge is worth as much as gold!"

The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery.

This is called "Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks!

So who are the real robbers here?
